Time Travel To The Past

I think I started fancying about time travelling when I watched

"Back to the Future", specially the third part were the Doc and Marty traveled to the past, and I also watched a serie called "Outlander"
who is about a 20th century woman (Claire Fraser) who travelled to the 18th century and had to learn how to live in that time. I that really make me wonder what would it be if I can travel to the past. Another reason why I'd rather go the past is because somehow I'm scared of the future and what will come, maybe I'm a pesimist for thinking that there's no a good future for us and when I think about travelling into the future I picture chaos.

Despite of that I never really thought about what time in the past going, and I don't know if I can choose just one so I would write about the things I expect to visit if I go to the past. First I would like to go to the 19th century just  because I read a fantasy / historical book about that age in Chile called "Bluebells" by Francisca Solar and I'd really like to see the history in first hand. The other time I would like to visit is more than just a time, is a place, and is the 80's or 90's to meet my parents when they were young, but for doing that I hope to be just an observer to not mess with the timeline like in "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury haha. Finally I would go to the prehistorical era to see Mamuts and dinosaurs (I had always found them fascinating).

On the other hand I wouldn't stay for a long time because I believe that I probably will have a lot of troubles adapting myself due to the fact that the present is better than the past and principally for the women, also I prefer to go as an observer to register everything I see.

  2. I agree with you in the part that you talk about you "being pesimist" for thinking that there is not a good future to us. You are not pesimist or at least you are not the only one. I think it is a generational feeling that arises from the lack of hope that we see regarding how damaged the planet is.
